~ Bridgewater Mill ~
"Beyond the Pane"
Ivy-clad and aged with time - this window and surrounds
nestle comfortably into an old flour mill built in the mid 1800's
On the day I visited - the water wheel was turning ever so slowly
thus capturing the window needed to be timed
between the rotating spokes
I could not see through the crack -what was beyond the pane
but only guess - maybe old flour bags, scatterings
of grain husks and possibly lots of dust
" Though we travel the world to find the beautiful
we must carry it with us or we find it not"
Ralph Waldo Emerson
