while walking around Laratinga Lake on the weekend
I noticed that our Australian Floral Emblem - the Golden Wattle
was in full flower - such a pretty sight in our scrubland areas
this little Pacific-Black duckling had lost his Mum and was paddling around and around in circles I later found Mum with her other brood at the end of the lake so hopefully at the end of the day they were all united
I spotted this colourful little red-rumped parrot munching out on seeds and grasses
while on a photo shoot in and around the Mawson Lakes area.
The male is easily identified by his bright red-rump feathers
although they are quite common in my area I have never lost the wonder of finding a cluster of these little gems feeding under shrubbery or seeing their little heads bobbing up and down whilst feeding amongst green grassy pastures *********
