Shiraz amid Roses ...........

Our Barossa Valley is looking very lush at the moment
with its mile-upon-mile of vineyards laden with grapes
almost ripe for the picking

I understand wine-growers plant roses amid vines
for early detection of fungal diseases
but aesthetically they add much
to the beauty of the valley

Looks pretty, and it feels like "medicine" on a cold winter morning here up in the north of Europe.

The roses look gorgeous amongst the vines, what a very goods idea.. roses really do have a lot of 'enemies' :)

Beautiful colours, particularly that rose!

A Barossa Shiraz would go down very well Dianne.

Didn't know that. I like the roses but like the wine even more!

I love the bloom on the grapes. Plus the roses are a bonus.
