At The Carrington ......

The Carrington - Katoomba, Blue Mountains   ~

enjoying tea and scones on the balcony of this wonderful historic hotel
steeped in history and elegance of a bygone era.

Originally built in 1882 it still remains as a place of accommodation
and fine dining in a country town, which in it's hey-day
was described as a nondescript little mining town

The stained glass is quite delicate and lovely. Nicely photographed.

I was in Australia just one time, when my daughter was doing one semester of college in Sydney. We went to the Blue Mountains, but it was so foggy that I didn't see anything. I can't check it off my bucket list yet.

That is my daughter's favourite place to stay up there.
