shrugging off winter .............

~   Bonython Hall  Adelaide University   ~

walking by the city university the other day I noticed
fonds of colour high in the jacaranda trees
They are not due to flower till much later in the year
but to my delight these few trees had grown impatient
and had sprung into life in the middle of our very cold winter

Great photo showing the blossom up high like that. My jacaranda tree doesn't now any sign of blossom yet.

We have endeavoured to grow a Jacaranda tree in our garden but it just doesn't seem to have flourished. I do wish it looked like the one in your photograph Dianne.

Mother Nature seems totally confused the whole world over.

We don't see these in the UK. One of my abiding memories of Australia was seeing a jacaranda in full bloom for the very first time. I love it when someone posts photos on their blog of this beautiful tree so thanks Dianne.

A touch of flowering colour in winter weather always seem to be a sign of hope. Delightful photo.
