That was the first thing I heard when I woke on Friday morning. So tragic. He was very well liked over here too having been at the Eagles for some years. A fitting tribute at Adelaide Oval.
Yes Linley - I read he had been with the Eagles for some years and as you said - well liked wherever he went. A real tragedy.
The news has left us all shocked. Your post is a lovely tribute.
Thanx Kay ... it was so nice to see a silent tribute right there at Adelaide Oval where Phil spent so many of his coaching hours. It is unbelievable.
Lovely tribute Dianne, such a tragedy, a sign of our troubled times.
A fitting way to celebrate a life cut too short Dianne.
Nice colour... sad about his death.
Two lovely photographs but a shocking crime. I googled and found stories indicating he was murdered by his son, who was probably high on drugs. An apparently good man dead and his family will be torn apart. Very sad.
Yes Jack ... a shocking crime and when it comes from within the family circle it's even more tragic.Thank you for commenting
Lovely tribute and gorgeous nite shots!Happy Week to you, artmusedog and carol
What colourful beauty - a grand tribute to man who was/is so respected. I still can't get over this tragedy. It seems so surreal.
That looks great.
Reading the news about Phil the next morning was a tragic day not only for the Adelaide Football Club, but to everyone who supported the club, and who have known Phil. With the Adelaide Oval ablaze in red, blue and gold is just a reminder that we are not easily broken but will have to be more vigilant that this doesn’t happen to anyone.
