amid the hustle and bustle .........

a busy bistro  somewhere in paris   ~

"you don't stop laughing when you grow old
you grow old when you stop laughing"
                                                               ~  George Bernard Shaw  ~

I don't know why I snapped this lonely face amid the crowd
Perhaps as a reminder that within the hustle and bustle of a vibrant city
there are ageing souls who have long ago stopped laughing

Oh, I do hope he hasn't stopped laughing. Perhaps he was just having a serious few minute. ;) It's a wonderful photo, nevertheless!

That's a brilliant shot for this Ageing theme day.

Oh he does look a little sad Dianne, hopefully a passing moment. Although there are many ageing folk out there that life has not been kind to. The Shaw quote is one of my favourites.

I suspect he laughs with the best of us when engaged ... wonderful photo and contribution to the theme of aging ... on a personal note recently I was told that I looked grumpy but at the same time my grandkids think I'm just a cuddly old bear ... one does have to remember to laugh and enjoy what is happening in the moment.

That's a beautiful shot. I also hope he hasn't stop laughing. He's dressed up well. I like the shoes and the hat :) Maybe he's just tired.

Maybe he just wants to have a little rest.

I am going to pretend that he had been laughing so loud and so long that he just needed some time to recover before laughing again.

I like the cap.

Sometimes it's just the expression, particularly when someone is deep in thought, that gives that impression. On my mother's side of the family, there's a tendency for the face to take on a dark scowl- we look angry, but that's not the case, it's usually happening when we're deep in thought about something or another.

I do hope he finds something to bring a smile to his face Dianne.
