Reflecting & Reflections ......

~   Talking Our Way Home   ~

A series of five art works created around  letters
written home by early South Australian settlers and migrants.
Semi -private / semi-public - memories floating on water.

With the major upgrading of our river, oval and surrounding park-lands
I had wondered at the fate of these visual origami style boats
Much to my delight they are to remain in their usual place as permanent artworks.

Lovely reflection. Old letters always hold a fascination. That they should float on the water makes them ethereal.

I'm so glad the boats are being kept, the river would seem dull now without them.

I'm fascinated by the colours, ever changing mood and abstract art quality of reflections in water - and this one's a beauty!! Happy New Year!

A fabulous shot Dianne - love the rich colours in the water too. Thanks for the history of those objects - I had no idea that's what they represented.
