The Last of the Almond Blossoms .....

Gale force winds and heavy rain
put an end to our pretty almond blossoms
They are so delicate at the best of times
and their moment of glory is brief.

Pretty blossoms while they lasted, and at least the bees were able to visit. Nice photos.

Gee whiz Dianne. The clarity you have obtained in that bee is amazing. Bravo.

capturing the moment means so much - that the shortened moments of glory for the almond tree and others is made opportune to many via your photographs

Who knew that the first taste of spring would be so fleeting? The colours are so much the prettier for their lack of longevity!

lovely. We don't have them here so it was a treat for me to see them pictured so prettily.

Wonderful close ups Dianne. Why do we receive the most inclement weather when the most delicate blooms are at their peak?

Love that bee busy about his work in the almond blossoms. Yes, we have to enjoy these delicate blooms while they last because it's not very long at all.

Such a pity when fragile blossoms get dashed by the weather - they have such a brief window at the best of times but they're so uplifting to winter-chilled spirits.

I don't think I have ever noticed Almond blossom ... they certainly are pretty.

They are so delicate looking and the bee looks too big and heavy for them.

Oh that's a shame Dianne, the blossoms are so pretty but they never seem to be around for long enough..the bee is making the most of it right to the last :)
