Strathalbyn ..........

~   River Angus  -  Strathalbyn   ~

A place to sit and ponder after having exhausted the many antique and bric-a-brac shops
which sell everything from rusty old rabbit traps with tufts of rabbit fur still intact
to wonderful vintage "Mastertouch" pianola rolls

Sounds like you have been doing a bit of rummaging through the antique shops Dianne. Nice to stop and smell the roses.

Very clever how you framed the landscape with the industrial looking bridge Dianne!

Did you find any treasures Dianne? Beautiful arch views.

Lovely views. The place sounds very Scottish!

As someone who once owned Argus House, which faces one end of this bridge, Dianne, I can tell you that this was the first reinforced concrete bridge built in either South Australia or Australia itself (I can’t remember which), and labouriously restored in the late seventies when ‘conrete cancer’ was detected in it.

I notice the stone edging along the river bank, which wasn’t there in my time. I think I preferred the old natural bank.

Nitpick: It’s River AngAs.
