Morning Has Broken .........

"Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird"
                                                                      Eleanor Farjeon

No blackbirds to be seen here ... but I love how these ducks went about their business
on a cold and frosty morning with the first rays of sunlight  softly warming their pond.

So like a painting Dianne with the way you have captured the light.
I have to keep 2 brooms outside my little hut for the blackbirds digging for worms and heaping the soil on my path at least twice a day in a number of places. Since all my rooms are only accessible from outside, I do need the path clean but don't begrudge my little diggers on little bit, they are such characters and bless me with their song.

Beautiful morning light! I always liked Cat Stevens musical version of this quote.

Gorgeous photo, Dianne.
I don't recall the Cat Stevens version of this song that Karen mentioned, but I know it from the hymnal used by the United Church of Canada, and I love the words and the music.

The colours and light remind me of a Renoir painting, so soft and mystical.

...that's so pretty; almost like a Monet pond

I could spend a very, very long time in Central Australia!

A beautiful capture indeed Dianne, and I too can see a touch of Monet's style!

Wow. Beautiful photograph Dianne. The reeds both in front of and behind the ducks really give it depth.

Eleanor Farjeon was my favourite poet when I was a child.

I often think of those words when I am out and about in the morning.
