Viva La France ........

~  Bastille Day     La Fête  Nationale  ~

French flags fly proudly above the entrance to the Town Hall
at "Place-de-la-Liberté" the public square in beautiful medieval Sarlat.

Bastille-Day is not only celebrated in Paris but
 through-out all regions of France.

The two flags flying are the French National Flag
 and the European Flag

a special day for France - though sadly marred with sadness this year after the train crash. Your photos are stunning Dianne; I love the sharp contrasts of the flags and the beautiful old buildings

Ah, oui, Dianne, la France. Je voudrais y aller, mais je n'ai pas d'argent.

Hi Dianne,

Beautiful photos and I love the red, white and blue of the flags, against the old stone buildings.
Joyeux quatorze juillet, to all our French friends

happy new week
hugs
Carolyn

There is something very nationalistic about red, white and blue. The basis of so many flags.
