~ pelicanus conspicllatus ~
Australian pelicans with their long pink bills and beautiful yellow rimmed eyes
are generally easier to capture because their take off time is nice and easy
and generally they would much rather stand in the shallows chatting

Just close by, was this possy of cute little ducks
possibly grey teals and chesnut teals?

Great photos, pelicans are lovely birds, I love the reflections.
those beautiful colors look like a painting!
Love the shots for today.
The reflections are fabulous!
Love your new header, great wildlife shots.
Love those pelicans!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
That's an especially beautiful photo of the Pelicans and their reflections. I wish I could see some Chestnut Teals - I saw them years ago when my camera was not good enough to get good photos.
I love both the pelicans and the Teals. But the reflection shot of the Pelicans is gorgeous!
A charming capture of the pelicans with great reflections - the bird on the left is looking rather coy!
Great pelican photos!
Terrific captures and reflections! Love the pellies!
Great photos of the pelicans. I couldn't believe the size of the Australian pelicans.
As others say, the reflections are great. Aren't they just a wondrous bird.
Great pelicans... I recently saw some in Florida,
Best regards from France,
Pierre
Hi Dianne. Pelicans are such fascinating birds. They look so cumbersome yet they are so graceful on the water and in flight. That top shot is so clear it's like looking through a window. Terrific J.
The green and gold colour in the water of the pelican photo is wonderful.
Nice pelican shots!
A happy funny day there and friends are enjoying the sunshine at the lake! :)
Cute post!
Léia
just beautiful !
I wonder if madam pelican is being 'chatted up' Dianne, the pelican on the left is looking a little 'coy'! Wonderful reflections.
Pelican #1: morning Bill, how's that new feather conditioner working out.
Pelican #2: I can't get this patch at the back to lie down smoothly.
Love the ducks.
Thanks River .... Love it!
Super shot of the pelicans Dianne. They look so relaxed.
Very nice shots, the pelicans look enjoying their company.
Nice pictures. The females of these teal can be hard to tell apart - I don't think I'm every truly confident which is which unless they are next to a male!
Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW.

Beautiful photos; I love the reflections!
I enjoyed your post. Pelicans are definitely one of my favorite subjects, especially since they are so abundant here in Florida.
These are so similar and yet so different from the brown pelicans that are common in Florida. Nice photo of the gabbing pair.
These are pretty photos! I liked this post very much.
