This wonderful little shabby-chic pop-up kitchen aptly named
From Scratch Patisserie .... opens for just two hours
of a Friday morning in the city
Flaunting scrumptious French pastries with enticing names
Mum's Plums - Cherry Poppins - Fraggas - She's Apples
I settled for an almond croissant
then it was next door to "The Coffee Branch"
where they topped up my board with
the best cappucino in town
What a way to start the day!

Looks Delicious. I love the coffee as well.
ooooo, where is it so I can call in next Friday
Fantastic. I appreciate home cooking and artistry in food.
It looks yummy!
I would be happy to start the day here every day.
Edible art! Looks perfect.
What a brilliant idea by the owners/purveyors of these delectable temptings ... and look at the care with which the coffee has been presented - impressive! You do come across the most fascinating places/events/subjects in your journeys Dianne. Bravo!
When I was in Adelaide I was surprised at how much good food here is around. it seems to be a big part of your city's culture.
I heard about this place last summer and wanted to go there, but it is open so early and I always had to get to work, couldn't be missing my bus because I was dithering over which pastry to buy. As time passed, I forgot about it. But I have some holiday time coming up soon, so I think I shall pencil in a Friday on my calendar.
Gorgeous! I imagine their two hours will become pretty busy!
The perfect day to start the day in my opinion Dianne..when we were in Paris I started every day with two pasties and 4 coffees, good thing we walked all day to work it off!!
Oh Dianne I really need a sugar rush. Those pastries look divine!
I do like an Almond Croissant!
Meg - the pop up patisserie is in Leigh Street just right beside hole in the wall "The Branch Coffee" ... it's only there from 7am to 9am on Fridays.
I wouldn't choose the almond croissant again mainly because of the amount of icing sugar on top ... looks delish but I ended up with sugar all over my black top. Maybe a butter croissant dunked in my coffee would be a better choice!
So, I visit to look at pretty photographs and what happens? I get hungry!
Wonderful post.
What a fine discovery you have made. It looks delicious.
I'm salivating!!
It is 09.06 here in Norway. Sunday morning, and I suddenly got very very hungry!:)
