The little feathered friend is nesting right out-side my window
While Mumma bird was out fossicking for worms
I carefully climbed the ladder to take a peek inside the nest
and found two beautiful blue eggs nestled in among the twigs.
Is she a black-bird?

How exciting a nest within view. There is squawking going on around the garden so I know there are young about but the nests are all high in the canopy of the trees.
What a beautiful set of photos you have chosen for your collage. That yellow and blue boat composition is exquisite.
Thats a nice little face! We had a nest just outside our front door this year, but I think there may have been too much traffic for the sitter!

...hard to say but have you checked if a black-bird does in fact lay blue eggs? If so, sounds like you're on a winner Dianne. Lovely post and good luck with the little ones...

I'm always amazed at how close to homes and shops birds build their nests, hoe lovely to have one right outside your bedroom window Dianne..I have a picture in my head of you climbing the ladder and peeking inside, its just the sort o thing I would do.
