Adelaide Botanic Garden's Water-lily Pavilion

This beautiful lily flowers twice
the first time it opens in a clear porcelain white with a sweet fragrance
(said to be of butterscotch and pineapple) to attract the beetles which pollinate the flower
The second day it opens in a soft shell pink.
I have photographed these lilies many times and found
that sometimes the pink is barely visible other than a few light
brushstrokes (as above) but needless to say it is definitely pink!
