Up The Garden Path ....

~ The Cedars   Hahndorf ~

The Cedars was home to famed artists
Sir Hans Heysen and his daughter Nora Heysen
..............................

Fortunately the family have maintained the property
with the help of a wonderful gardener
who has endeavoured to keep the garden
in its original rambling country style
with masses of cottage plants bluebells-primulas-hellebores
and big earthenware pots of the prettiest pansies

It was a joy to wander with friends around this delightful garden
in the soft later afternoon light.
