Tulips ......

"When it's Spring again I'll bring again
tulips from Amsterdam"

No! I haven't jetted off across the skies to beautiful Amsterdam
but spotted these delightful tulips at one of the many B&B cottages
in the Clare Valley

South Australia is usually far too warm for growing these delicate bulbs
so it was a surprise to see them flourishing underneath
blossoming fruit trees in a side garden.

I like tulips. That third photo with the white one standing out against the colours is the best.

I had a look at your previous post too, and I love the creamy yellow banksia rose. I tried to grow a white one but it didn't do so well, probably because as soon as it got established hubby pulled it out and stuck it in a pot!
Now of course I have to get out my SA map and find out exactly where Mintaro is and if there is a bus service from Adelaide.

The colours of the tulips are just so vibrant on a beautiful Spring day. I always wish the blooms would not open so quickly though.

Great photos of beautiful flowers. Spring flowers don't grow well where I live in QLD and I miss them.

Just one tulip in my garden this year. I like them but I find them too fussy to tend.
