Spotted At Mintaro ....

~ Rosa Banksiae Lutia ~

Mintaro is a small historic town located in the beautiful Clare Valley
region of our state ... generally known for it's wines .. food trails
and wonderful blue/grey Mintaro slate.

I noticed this wonderful old fashioned buttery-yellow rambling rose
drooping over one of the many slate walls

It's also home to many cottage style B&B's and of course
delightful little tea rooms chock-a-block with memrobilia
from the early to mid 1800's

Stone walls abound in this little town with their aged patina
who wouldn't want one in their garden?

It sounds like a lovely little town. Will we see more photos from it?

Jack:- yes I became a bit trigger happy and photographed everything in sight .... sunny day in a rustic olde worldy town ... just made for capturing on film.

Wow Dianne, you have excelled in that first shot of the rose. A classic indeed. Thanks for dropping in on my blog while I've been a bit quiet of late. I've been on holiday in Byron Bay and just returned. I am looking forward to sharing some of my holiday photos of this wonderful spot over at my blog.

Beautiful rose, I like the wall as well. Good Depth of field in both shots.

Buttery yellow is a perfect adjective for this beautiful rose.
The dark background sets it off beautifully - lovely shot!

I do love stone walls, especially how random rock shapes combine for form a beautiful structure.
