Up Gravel Lane to Mr McGregors Garden ....

On a recent weekend friends and I took a stroll around the outer gardens
of the Historic Carrick Hill Estate

Down the boggy lane .. we really should have worn our gumboots

Through the blossom trees round Ratty's Lake

Then up Gravel Lane which leads to Mr McGregors garden
jammed packed with herbs of the fragrant kind

Finally finishing at the pretty cottage garden just left of Pear Arbour
and within a short uphill stroll of the coffee shop.

Stilettos don't go well in the country? Lovely photos as always, especially the first one.

A bit boggy but a nice garden. It is Peter Rabbit's 110th Birthday this year.

What a delightful, delicately beautiful shot of the blossom around Ratty's Lake.... and an interesting perspective of the sun-dial.

I don't know what it is about the simple rutted path in your first photo, but it really appeals to me.

Dianne everything is so lush and I see flowers are blooming. Are you into spring now? Or is it this way all year round?

Beautiful photos!

Is this the same garden that Peter Rabbit liked so much? I can see the attraction with those fresh juicy herbs. Great photos.

These scenes look delightfully English, although they aren't. Would love to walk down that lane in the first photo and explore the wonderful garden.
