Great shot you are sure getting the hang of your new camera.
Thistles are considered weeds around here, but the flowers are beautiful, the sticker, not so much.
there's no way I'd be able to take a photo like this in today's winds, yesterdays winds....traditionally August winds. You got a magnificent close up and rustic lights Diane
I love this photo, it reminds me of the farm.Hugs
Yep a weed but I love photographing their purple heads, this one is just as lovely in its maturity.
Fabulous close up Dianne. Great clarity. Can feel the texture in this seed pod.
I couldn't agree with you more. Thistles are beautiful - as long as you don't have to walk through them.
I've not seen a thistle like this, I do like the burnished colours.
Truely beautiful texture and the bokeh. Poetic
A fine photograph, Dianne. I read something by the American writer Ralph Waldo Emerson recently, "A weed is a plant whose virtues have not yet been discovered." It fits here.
A wonderful capture Dianne - that glow in the centre is mesmerising and the lively grey spikes could be those of a senior citizen's new hairstyle! Enjoy your week.
So many weeds are really just lovely flowers, and in seed form they retain their charm, just like this thistle. Beautifully captured Dianne.
It's just too pretty to be called a weed, such a lovely photo & fabulous close up!
Gorgeous image Dianne, I have a friend who's hair looks just like this when she wakes up in the morning haha!.
