When The Rubber Hits The Road ........

~ Sunflowers in Provence ~

Along with crisp cold days July brings with it via tv ~Le Tour De France~
and this year most Australian will be hoping that our wonder boy
Cadel Evans will make it back-to-back.
It's a bit of watching the cycling then the scenery then the cycling!!

Unfortunately this year LeTour will by-pass most of beautiful Provence
and so my joy at seeing fields of golden tournesols
might be just a dream.

Some of the top Tour riders on the streets of Adelaide
earlier this year for the "Tour Down Under"

I am glad you reminded me to try and watch some. It's fun when we get to have our French fix along the route!

I just bought some silk sunflowers that make a good splash of colour in my sitting room, such cheerful flowers.

Sunflowers are lovely symbols of summer. It is time for me to go looking for some to put in a vase.

I love the colorful post Dianne, we've been having our share of rain this past few days so color is wonderful to see right about now.

I'd heard about the Tour Down Under while I was visiting, it sounds like it was quite the event, as this one looks like it will be as well.

Have fun!

Cheers.

Both images are so colorful. I believe there are many enthusiasts who watch the tour de France because of the scenery and travelogue rather than the race.

I like to watch too, as well for the cyclists as the surroundings and the beautiful villages they are passing.
