Sunrise Over The Lakes......

This pic was taken a few years ago while on a walking holiday
at Derwent-Water in the Lakes District of northern England.
I looked out the window of our walking lodge one morning
to see this most glorious sunrise.

The day quickly deteriorated into very cold and very wet
which meant donning wet weather gear before heading off
on a 12 Mile trek towards Cat Bells and the Newlands Valley
where we lunched in a field overlooking Little-Town
home to Beatrix Potters Mrs Tiggy-Winkle

What a brilliant place for a walking holiday. Sunsets and water are such a good combination. Great colours.

looking like a beautiful start to your day with a sunrise like that; shame it turned out a little dismal. Well at least you got your fabulous photograph early in the day!

Sunrises are always great, but they are usually followed by quite dull normal days...

I still think your photos of Adelaide and SA match anything in the world.

You have to wonder how a day that starts so heavenly can change so drastically, it never ceases to amaze me! You were at least lucky to awake to this scene Dianne.

Such a beautiful setting for walking. As long as you have the waterproofs you can cope with anything the English weather throws at you.

I'd import the Lakes if I had any choice in the matter! I used to live and work there.

Nice picture.
