Cobblestones In Provence .........

~ Crillion-le-Brave  Provence ~

Today I'm taking you across to the medieval
hilltop village of Crillion-le-Brave in the south of France
where cobblestoned lane-ways seem to wind themselves
in and around this quaint place

Lovely to look at although definitely not kind to the feet
but with views like this it was worth the pain!

Nearly everything in this small village seems to be
contructed from local cobbly stones
houses ... walkways ... arches ... bridges
giving a wonderful warm rustic ambiance to the place.

This is my contribution to
City Daily Photo's April Theme-Day

This part of France is a delight, I agree, Dianne. And it does seem as though the entire village is cobbled. Worth every penny, and every aching muscle.

Looks like a delightful place to go to Dianne. Love the view through the archway. Not sure about the effect of so many cobblestones on the feet and ankles though.
