Two Drums On A Tankstand....

Growing up in rural South Australia, drums were a part of our everyday life
containers for farmstead fuels ... kerosene, petrol, diesel fuel etc
nice brand spanking new 44 gallon drums which glistened in the sunlight
But oh! how I loved the sight of rusty old weathered drums
discarded and rolled into some out-of-view unused corner of the farmyard.
A thing of the past ... almost an object extinct!

Wonderful, rich colours Dianne. I wonder what those drums originally contained? (I bet they could tell a tale or two !!)

Just the kind of junk I love to see and photograph. It also reminds me of childhood on the farm.

plenty of interesting colour emerging there too

And how many uses are there for a forty four gallon drum! Water carriers, dog kennels, incinerators...a long list.

Although you have captured a load of junk you have magically made it look artistic. Well done.

But not quite extinct Dianne, what a great find, love the touches of greeny blue in amongst the rusty reds.

Yep, I love this sort of detritus.
