Reflections On Crystal ..............

Nicholas Folland's amazing crystal and glass  exhibit   "Hanging Glass Cloud"
located in the Elder Wing of the South Australia Art Gallery

The rich heritage colours of the gallery walls
are reflected in the thousands of crystal sugar-bowls jugs and tea-cups
suspended from high in the ceiling by fine stainless steel threads

I was pleased to be able to finally capture this exhibit
after being kindly reprimanded by the security staff
for inadvertently activating my camera flash !!

That looks like a beautiful addition to the 'traditional' part of the North Terrace Gallery.

Note to self - if I ever end up inheriting a large mansion, I'll seek out enough crystal to do a similar installation myself.....

This crystal art is so enchanting! Amazing design and colour!

In response to your comment on my MPD blog, "Today I am going to an exhibition of paintings by Ivars Jansons .... I believe he resides in your area....." I saw some of his beautiful scenes at Flinders Fine Art Gallery on the eastern side of the peninsula. I love the overlay of misty tones in his paintings.

Wow! A most interesting glass structure. And, the red walls are among the most beautiful red walls I can remember seeing.

I love the second image, captured the crystal pieces nicely and with the red peaking through to give it an added richness to them.

Beautiful images Dianne and such a fabulous idea for an artistic 'creation'. Such elegant surroundings that even the reflections in the super shiny floor are special.
