Ship Ahoy #1 ............

~ Looking into the galley kitchen ~

This is a replica of Captain Cook's tall ship
HMB Endeavour - which is currently docked at the
McLaren Wharf in Port Adelaide

Imagine sitting in the Galley Kitchen
watching the waves roll onto the stern of the ship

I wouldn't last long
but I can imagine for those with sea-legs
the experience would be quite an adventure

~ The Royal Navy Ensign ~

I hope I'm correct in saying this is the stern of the ship!!

she is beautiful and I'm hopeful I will be able to capture
her in full sail

You've just brought me right back to my childhood in London and an exhibition on Captain Cook! :-) I would love to see her sailing!

Yep, it is the ar.......back of the ship, the stern. I'm surprised it so decorated, assuming it is like the original.

I was fortunate enough to visit this replica when it was in Brisbane...what a great history lesson it was for me. I don't know about you, but I was gobsmacked at how small it was and to think that Cook sailed around the world in it!. Looking forward to more pics.

Lovely photos, always so interesting to look round these old vessels. reminds me of HMS Victory in the UK.

Such clarity in your images Dianne though don't feel my sea legs (or lack of) would stand up to sailing on this one. Hope you do get to see her in full sail.

Great colors and details, Dianne. Now, I would have done my best to get to a place where I could show the whole ship, but you focused on the details. I like that approach better than the one I would have pursued.
