Paddling Around .........

~  Garden Island Dolphin Sanctuary  ~

After spending a wonderful day this week with  fellow blogger
and photography enthusiast Arija from  "Garden Delights"
who most kindly allowed me to click away on her Canon camera
I decided to bite the bullet and purchase my very first
DSLR camera.... and so this is the first photo taken
on my own real camera ... and it even had reflections.
.

I guess Mr and Mrs Paddler with dog ...  out in the middle of the estuary
were quite oblivious to the fact that this was a very momentus occasion for me.
I hope they didn't mind.

The photo seems to have some depth, which in comparison to the previous photo, did not. Sheesh, it has taken you to buy such a camera for me to notice the difference. I suppose I will get one at some point, but I like how I can stick my camera in my jeans pocket.

Oh, well done Dianne! Love the life vest on the dog.

{S I hope you got a clear filter to protect your lens.

Congratulations Dianne - a whole new world has just opened up to you! Wonderful, serene capture, and of course I love the "captain" on the bow, directing the "crew's" passage! Have a marvellous journey exploring your new camera and its nuances!

Beautiful photo and reminded me of when our dog went kayaking with us.

A momentous occasion indeed, Dianne. I'm so happy for you, getting a digital SLR. It's a beautiful photo, too, and the dog makes it extra special. Way to go.

Looks like a nice relaxing day for these two people. Like the colors against the plain dull blue background of the water.

Nice photo, Dianne. I upgraded from a point-and-shoot to a Canon DSLR a year ago and am very happy with the decision. Have fun with yours.
