Apples.. Chooks & A Rusty Barn............

~ Some-where near Basket Range ~

An old rusty shed surrounded by apple orchards
and a mob of chooks clucking at the side fence
just asking to be photographed ...............

It might be on the other side of the world but this strongly reminds me of my grandparent's garden. They had chickens too, though their shed was a touch less rusty (only a touch!) Thanks for triggering the nostalgia.

it has the lovely rustic, olde-worlde charm; love it, and the chooks and beautiful apple tree, laden.

How wonderful, Dianne.
I just love that word "chooks" — we don't use it in Canada, and I'll bet lots of Americans have never even heard it.
Are they close enough to the apple trees to get the windfalls? Chickens are rampantly omnivorous, so they'd love apples.
Lovely heartwarming photos from your world!

One day all the corrugayed iron in the world will have rusted away. Then everyone will appreciate its charm! Until then it's all ours!

Lovely shots, Dianne. Looks so rustic, serene, calm and restful and cool (a bit hot here in the City today!)

Great shots, and a fascinating part of our world. I love abandoned buildings like this.

Gorgeous country images Dianne, I wonder how old the barn is, I bet it's seen and stored a lot of interesting things in it's lifetime. Chooks and apples, good combination (bet the chooks think so too).

Love ol' rusty sheds. The apples look crunchy. The hens look happy.
