Walking In The Rain.......

~ raindrops on a milky green pond ~

Soft morning rain - grey overcast skies and very damp underfoot
didn't deter a friend and I from heading out on a photo shoot
along a nearby creek- bed

"The best thing one can do when it rains is to let it rain"
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I don't know the official name of the creek
but it's very shallow and in places reduces to almost a trickle where
the trailing nasturiums have over-grown the banks

I guess the English would refer to it as a babbling brook!

Love that first image Dianne - a superb capture; one might say a just reward for braving the elements! Have a great weekend.

Hi Dianne,

The babbling brook is lovely with the nasturiums covering the banks.
Can be really nice walking in the rain, I used to enjoy walking our dog.

Have a great weekend

Certainly looks like a 'brook' to me. I've often wondered about the word 'creek'; there are a few watercourses called creeks in England but very few. For some reason when we got to the New World everything was called a creek and other more common English names - brook, bourne, beck, gill etc - were not used.
But a brook by any other name looks just as attractive, especially when so expertly photographed.
