Twilight Comes Softly.......

Looking land-ward from Semaphore jetty
towards the main street of this historic beach-side suburb
The sun had just dipped below the horizon
leaving a soft palette of pastel hues across the sky-line.

Rode my bike with friends to this area during the Tour Down Under in 2009 - loved it. Adelaide is my 2nd favorite city after home, oh yes - then there's Paris. OK, my 3rd fave city.

I'd like a dress made in those colours Dianne, how pretty would that be! Such a good angle, looking inwards for a change, we seem to always look out to sea.

I think Sempahore is one of my favourite Adelaide beaches. My kids had many fun afternoons there when we live in the Western Suburbs. Lovely work.

Such a delicate pink in these photos!

Imagine a world with no sky—
Through what would the geese and crows fly?
And where would bears go
If there were no snow
Falling to earth from on high?

Lovely soft photos. What is the raised building in the second photo please? Life Saving? Shark spotting?

Twilight at the beach, it doesn't get any better than that!

Dianne said...

Andrew:- Yes - you're right it's a life savers look-out hut which is used in the summer months.

Nice photo of the jetty bridge, which beach is this Dianne? Looks like at Semaphore..

Dianne said...

Romina:- Yes! it is Semaphore - a lot of our jetties look the same but this one is much longer than it's closest neighbour at Largs Bay.

Lovely shots Dianne. What a great and fitting name for a jetty.
