Reflections Amid The Lotus..........

~ Sacred Lotus Pond  (Nelumbo Nucifera )  - Adelaide Botanic Gardens ~

Peering into the new soft green under-growth of the Sacred Lotus
I was amazed to see the size of the water droplets
perfectly formed and sitting atop the lotus leaves
 like glistening pearls.

In a few weeks time this pond will once again be a mass
of exquisite lotus blooms and I will be back again taking
photo after photo of this amazing sight.

My blog- header photo was taken last December
when the pond was a blaze of pink and white.

Splendid captures Dianne. I must make an effort to get down there at flowering time.
The last time I saw them flowering was in 1986 from the 4th floor window of the cardiac ward at the RAH.

These are really stunning photos. Almost like a frog sitting on a lily pad and his view of life around him. Nice.

Dianne said...

Abe:- Yes that's what I felt like - a frog on a lilly pad - peering into this magical green world.
