Purple Haze..........

~ Tusmore Avenue ~

Each November our city becomes aglow with a
purple haze courtesy of the many  beautiful
Jacarandas trees which line our suburban streets
.......................
Pretty as a picture to most of us residents
to others unfortunately nothing but trouble
with the continual dropping of lavender petals
into their gutters and drains.

What a wonderful collage! Love seeing your blooms! We have a home that is on a street called Jacaranda. Now I know why!

Gorgeous captures! I do LOVE the jacaranda trees! It was one of the things I loved most about the year I lived in Mexico -- jacaranda trees everywhere and I loved the purple world they created! Hope you have a wonderful week!

Hi Dianne,

How pretty the Jacarandas are and keeping the gutters and drains clean would be a small price for all the beauty.
I love the combination of the yellow roses and the mauve petals.

Happy Tuesday

I didn't know that Jacaranda trees were so beautiful! Thank you for sharing! Thanks for your visit too. My parents were both from Rotterdam and my father often went to sit on the riverbank to watch the ships when he was a boy. Later he became an engineer on board a merchant ship and sailed on all oceans of the world. I was born in Rotterdam but only lived there for a year when I was a child. Now I live in a village not far from it.

Wow! What wonderful scenes. I don't think jacaranda grows as far north as Connecticut, but I have a house in Florida where some streets and restaurants are called Jaranda, so I need to be on the lookout for purple blooming trees.

That is so beautiful, just what I like to see as we head into winter up here!

That first photo took my breath away, Dianne. I now remember about jacaranda trees, but I had forgotten what an amazing colour they are.
Fabulous.

I love the touch of gold with the purple. In Sydney the Silky Oaks provide the gold.

Wonderful. We planted a Jacaranda Tree last year. It will be many years before it is as spectacular as your subjects.
