Blue Skies, Hollyhocks And A Busy Bee.....

Trying to capture this bee collecting pollen
was not an easy task - he kept flying back to the edge of the
hollyhock petal and performing this little hovering dance
before diving into the centre again to gather more pollen
for mamma queen bee.

Love those colours Dianne, you can see here how clearly M. Bee does his job, he'll be spreading that pollen around very nicely!
Oh no, I'm horrified, do Kookaburra's really eat small birds, and there he sat looking as if butter wouldn't melt in his mouth haha!

fabulous sky and capture of Mr Bee covered in pollen. The detail in the flower is superb. What settings did you use? Please.

Dianne said...

diane b:- I just turned my point and shoot dial to "Scene Recognition Auto" and then clicked the macro button - the camera done the rest. I will have to say Diane that it took a lot of patience because bees never seem to stay still - if they're not travelling they're hovering.
