In High Places......

The interior architecture in the foyer of our Parliament House
generally goes un-observed due to the necessary
security pharaphernalia etc housed in this small area
but on looking up I noticed the fine detailing on the columns

long corridors with the customary portraits
of former parliamentarians on the walls

And a special room for Mr/Mrs Speaker

What a harrowing job that must be!!

What a beautiful place. I love the detailing.
Canada's prime minister is so full of himself he had all the portraits of former PMs taken down and replaced with pictures of himself. Until he is gone, I don't want to visit Canada's capital city.

Wonderful pics Dianne - definitely "out of the ordinary". Liked especially the view down the corridor with the patterned flooring and reflected lights. Another winner!

Such a beautiful, outstanding building! Is it open to the public? I love your photos of Australia, Dianne! Have a great weekend!

reader Will:- the building is not usually open to the public but I like to go in to the Parliamentary sittings - they also have daily guided tours which are a great way of seeing what goes on behind the scenes.
