Waiting For The Sun To Rise.....

Looking out onto the Coral Sea

I took these photos one day last week
(while still on holidays)
just before the sun rose above the horizon
a magical time of day!

It was only a few hours later that the entire beach was closed
due to sightings of a crocodile
Scary thought!

Gorgeous! I love the sunrise and when it's over the sea it is magical!

I knew the shot couldn't have been taken in Adelaide - a sunrise wouldn't be over water!! Just another reminder why the tropics are so cool ...

Can't imagine there being a crocodile in such a beautiful and serene looking place Dianne, you really have caught it at that magical moment!

Sunrise by the sea is so worth it ... one of the few places where I am happy to get up before dawn.

Beautiful picture of the sun over the water. I had a look at your other blog about France, that looks great. We have been several times in the Provence and other parts and it is nice to see the photo's.

Very scary thought, but glorious water. "The Coral Sea" sounds like a book title. So beautiful.

Maybe the croc is sorry to have missed being captured by your camera?
Lovely view.

Those sunrises are wonderful. In Queensland the crocs are always spoiling the beach. This could be a beach in that area. Some time ago a man was eaten by a croc. The man was checking his lobsterpots. When he didn't return his wife alerted the police. They found a slipper on the beach and lateron three crocs were caught . After x- raying them they found human remains in one of them. There must always be warning signs on every beach. Sorry, Dianne, I hope I didn't upset you!
Thanks for your visit and comment!

Reader Will - No you didn't upset me - I would have been upset however if I had ended up being some crocs breakfast. Needless to say I didn't venture down to the beach the next morning!
