Next Stop Antarctica.....

I took these photos a few weeks ago looking out onto
the Great Australian Bight from Sleaford Bay
on the southern tip of Eyre Peninsula

beautiful sky - beautiful sea - magic day!

The next land mass heading south from this bay
would be Antarctica
scary thought!!

What beautiful colours.

Fantastic blues. Is it like Cape Town where the next land mass too is Antarctica in that the water is cold, even in summer?

As he waded into the sea, surfboard under arm pointed towards the horizon the turmoil of the week's labour dissolved in the white water and vanished in the undertoe.

The surf is beautiful. I can remember as a child looking across the Atlantic Ocean and thinking WOW! Europe is over there! But to look out and think of Antarctica in the distance is mind boggling.
