A Splash Of Orange......

The Institute Building  -  North terrace

Spears of bright orange from the winter flowering torch lilly
spice up an otherwise sombre atmosphere on the Terrace

Stunning colour. A strange contrast, for me, between a very staid, English-looking building and the exotic, tropical carnival-colour of the flowers. But I suppose that's what you'd expect in somewhere like Adelaide.

Nice perspective here.

They're like exotic alien guards standing to attention, keeping watch. Excellent picture Dianne.

Great architecture and funny flowers make a good juxtaposition.

Fa-bu-lous! At first, I thought these were modern art, but no!

Outstanding. I have never seen these flowers before. I tried to decide if I like your vertical or horizontal shot better and I can't decide. (Probably the same thing that led you to post both, right?)

This made an interesting shot with the exotic flowers.

Jack- Yes you're right - sometimes it's like that - I ponder over which shot to post and can't decide so post them both!

Our torch lilies are flowering quite profusely now too! They are so welcome for distilling the winter blues! Love this photo!
