Rowboats Ducks and Poppy-seed Cake....

Rymill Park is always a delight to visit -  even in winter with the plane trees
having shed their leaf cover.

When I dropped by yesterday the water on the lake was still enough to reflect
the blue and red from the little hire row- boats moored at the outdoor kiosk
where -keeper of the kiosk- served my choice of decadent  hot chocolate
and orange poppy-seed cake .

Nice looking park, not been boating in a park in quite a few years. Though I have not had poppy seed cake in perhaps 25 years, not something I come across here in my bit of Yorkshire.

I like the reflection very much and I'm sure I would have loved the cake as well. (And I bet you didn't save me any!) :))

I would not be able to resist a visit to this kiosk for some cake and a hot drink, especially with a view out over the lake.

The red in the boat is otherworldly. And, the food? I ate too much today. I can't even look at it.

The lake is very beautiful. The cake and chocolate look delicious, afterwards I might have had to hire one of the boats for a row around the lake.

OMIGOD!! It's so GREEN!!! Heaven after a few weeks in the outback which, while green, wasn't quite to the standard shown in your shot!

And the cake? I'm salivating!!
