In The heart Of Olde Port Adelaide.....

Railway Hotel  ~  established in 1849

Port Adelaide isn't only about fish and football
It's about old stone ware-houses and woolsheds
Heritage hotels and guest-houses
and of course little tea rooms and corner shops

What a wonderful place to visit Dianne. Love the photos and the food looks scrumptious. Haven't been there so will look forward to doing that when in Adelaide hopefully for the Tour Down Under in January. Best wishes.

Beautiful photos, Dianne. I'm so glad the heart of the old port still beats.

Love the shutters on the Railway Hotel windows and it has that kind of 'shabby chic' look that is so appealing and now I desperately want a slice of lemon tart...thanks Dianne!!

Indoors, eating tarte citron, looking out on a lovely chilly scene. Looks and sounds perfect.

The muted colours, the decaying shutters, the daisies....you paint a convincing picture of an old port area - great places to wander around with a camera; especially if you can find a tea-room too!

That tart looks very tasty... I love old buildings and it is always good to see they still have a use today.
