Push Pin Boutique.....



This quaint little shop  in Compton Street
was originally the Metropolitan Saw Mills premises
Now home to the Push Pin Boutique
a vintage lovers heaven - specialising in 1940's and 50's fashion

Ooo ... I am sooo glad they left the old signs along the top ... and the shape of the building ... which in Sydney would appear to be the shape of a mechanic's workshop.

I am tossing up whether your apostrophes are correct or not. I think they may be: apostrophe of possession.

It is nice that not every shop has to be slick and renovated within an inch of its life.

I find all the current fascination with vintage fashion an interesting trend. I think the 40s and 50s were quite lovely (though it is rather a shock seeing girls in the corridor at work looking like how I remember my Mum as a child.) However, a repeat of 70s style is rather worrying to me.

I love that shop. Took pictures of it a few months ago. I love the way that Adelaide has insisted on maintaining a connection with history with the revitalisation of buildings.
