Love the decorative work and tesselated tiles. Is this near the Haigh's chocolate shop?
Those chairs and table are just a delight! Have a beautiful day, Kellie xx
Blossom FlowerGirl:- yes just 2 mins and you're in the chocolate shop.
I am finding the expression 'bespoke' all over the place here in Sydney. I know that in Austen, if one were 'bespoke' it meant already promised to another. I am figuring that the word means something similar in the retail environment.
That's look like a nice spot to relax with a coffee and a friend - or is it only for tailoring customers?
Bonjour Julie:- it comes from the verb -bespeak- to speak for something - to give orders how to be made. Bespoke establishments are very rare here in Adelaide. Have a great week.Hi Leif - Any one can use the chairs for coffee there a quite a few scattered through-out the arcade - they add a nice touch.
Have only seen the arcade from the outside, must make sure I wander through it one day. Would you believe I was so busy I didn't go to Haighs. Didn't even look in the window.
It looks very rich and elegant but also inviting. I like that.
I have just got to get to Adelaide soon, Dianne your blog shows an amazing hertitage but also a dynamic present.
Very elegant!Nice shot of the chair!:)Gunn / Stavanger / Norway
